Violence Prevention in the Workplace

It's impossible to eliminate violence in the workplace, but there are techniques and methods to reduce the possibility of it happening.

According to Dr. Jeffrey L. Sternlieb, president of MetaWorks, homicide is the number one cause of death of women in the workplace.

• Educate your workplace.
• Make sure you have a Violence Prevention policy in your handbook.
• Train your supervisors on what to do if an incident occurs.
• And make sure all your employees are alert to potential signs of workplace violence.
